Uh, another ReadMe file. As if there weren’t already tons of ‘em around. Every shareware author in the whole wide world has a message. And they’re all begging for your attention. I admit freely: Same here.
To prevent you from falling into a coma when reading these lines, I tried to make this document as easy to read as my English allows. See it as an interview, ok? YOU interview me, fb:i!, the “Unknown Shareware Author”. I promise to do my best to tell you what you really want to know about the icons. Let’s start right away:
Q: What’s this “NEW icons” hype about, anyway? Haven’t we seen it all before?
A: Hopefully not. I tried to come up with a new look for the Mac that adds some real improvements
to its graphical user interface. The purpose behind my icons is to enhance the interface’s clarity
(thus the “heavy” outlines) as well as its aesthetic charms. Technology with a smile!
This professionally crafted set provides more than 70 icons which can be used as
a) replacements for Apple’s standard Finder™ and System icons, and
b) as custom Finder icons being copy-pasted in the usual way.
Any non-profit distribution of the entire, intact set of IkonHo!™ “HeavyLine” icons (“this set”) is encouraged, provided this set is not modified in any way and related documentation is included in the distribution package.
IMPORTANT: Distribution of disassembled parts of this set or including parts of this set with any icon collection for the purpose of distribution, be it “shareware”, freeware or whateverware (“Icon Attack” and the like) is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Thank you for your understanding.
fb:i! as the author of this set does not grant permission to use or distribute this set in whole or part for profit in any form, including but not limited to, electronic information services, bulletin boards and magnetic or optical media without prior written permission.
This set of “IkonHo!™ HeavyLine icons” is provided AS IS. You may use it for private purposes, at your own risk, without warranty of any kind. fb:i! is not responsible for any damage to the purchaser’s computer system or data and in no event will fb:i! or distributors of this set be responsible for any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages (including damages for loss of business profits, business interruption, loss of business information and the like) arising from the use or inability to use this set, even if fb:i! has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Because some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, the above limitations may not apply to you.
